So, I’ve been thinking. A lot of the regular posters here have many characters. But do you have a character that you like the most? Me, I have 2 mains, one for each side. The Republic one is my vanguard, the first character I ever made, back when the trial program started (you could level a character to level 15). I still remember the first warzone a did over a million damage and the moment I hit level 50, max level at the time, somewhere in the jungles of Belsavis. It’s the character I based on me the most. The choices I make in-game are most likely the choices I’d make if I was put in that situation in real life. Anyway.
Imperial main. Zabrak juggernaut tank ever since I chose the advanced class (I experimented with my vanguard a bit, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not). Put a lot of roleplay thought into him – the general idea was to make him into an imperial knight, honoring his enemies and protecting the Empire. Well, sometimes the dark side got the better of me *cough* Hutta *cough*, but I was quite happy with his overall image. Now, after the events of SoR and KotFE I’m not quite sure what direction to head him to. If you take out the blind faith in the Empire’s leaders and goals there’s really no reason to justify the war with the Republic. Yeah, they overdid the job with the bombardment of Korriban at the end of the Great Hyperspace War, but can you really blame them? A bloodthirsty army, following their leader’s vision of war and conquest, attacks you without any declaration or provocation from your side (the Daragons don’t count). Anyway, I can discuss this topic for a while but I’m interested to hear your stories about the characters you like the most.

This is great, I’d love to hear this from a bunch of people!
I’m in the same boat with my Republic main; he was the first Republic character I ever made, when I first started SWTOR upon it becoming F2P. I did make him a bit of a self-insert character, physically and morally. I remember being so excited to play a tanking Jedi Guardian and thinking it was the absolute coolest thing ever. Good ol’ Corias. I still remember getting the starting PVP gear at 50 and laughing my head off at how silly the headpiece looked.
Imp-side, it’s also one of my first characters. I made an Imperial Agent, because it sounded really cool…and man, it was cool. I still view the Agent story as probably the best class story, and I believe that’s a popular opinion. I really enjoyed healing as the Operative, too. I named him after a Foreigner album, because I’m a dork like that: Agent Provoc Ateur.
They’re both mostly light-side, with Provoc naturally being a bit more cynical, having spent time as an Agent.

My main on the rep side is a Human male Guardian. I used to main a Sentinel until 3.0, but not anymore. He’s your typical LS dude, nothing interesting RP-wise.
My Imp side main is a Jugg, male Sith Pureblood and again LS’ded. Doesn’t make a lot sense I know but I hide behind the “but he’s a Revanite!!” excuse and things make a tiiiiiiny bit more sense.

Prior to launch, I had a hard time deciding whether to play a Shadow or Scoundrel. I decided to play around with the Scoundrel during beta and level the Shadow first at launch. Since I was up in the air about which one I preferred, I created twins, Arke and Iris.
I’ve stuck with Arke as my main. She’s the first one I level through new content and she has all of my Cartel Market unlocks. Iris is my favorite character though. The Smuggler class missions were a lot more fun and I enjoyed healing during ops more than DPS. I eventually changed her hair so she isn’t completely identical to Arke anymore, but her facial features are still the same. I play both characters full light side.
Sefone is my primary Imp character. I picked him because it’s just so easy to level a Sniper through new content and by the time I have finished it twice, I’m not interested in taking my time. I also play him light side, but he’s currently Dark V (through Diplomacy missions) because I was tired of leveling my one Dark Side character (Cocytus).
I do have multiple characters for each advanced class, but the only other one I bother leveling anymore is Gethon. I use him to model assault cannons for videos. The rest of the characters I leveled myself are at 55. I still use Nephil, Vanth, Aita, and Agni for crafting.
I also have quite a few instant-level 60 characters that I’ve never done anything with except create outfits.
Hopefully, there will never be a reason I need to catch a knight or warrior up to level 70 because I despise playing them.

Oh, I didn’t think about adding screens. Because I don’t have any good and I just recently found out about Fraps (about 20 minutes ago actually) I’ve added them as attachments. Really like how they are making a WTF face in both close ups.
Got a bit of a backstory on why my trooper isn’t keeping the regulations with his haircut (he used to have a proper gung-ho hair) – you know the battle on Oricon? The moon of madness, full with the hordes of the Dread Masters, guys and gals real tight with the Emperor for, well, a really long time. I figured non-force sensitives should have a bit of a harder time brushing off the mind attacks by beings who terrorized whole fleets. And how’s the best way to portray psychological trauma? That’s right, beard and scruffy hair. Then Revan showed up (adding quite a bit of disdain for the Jedi in general), and then the Emperor omnomnomed Ziost and well, he had more important things to do than shave, you know? Besides, beards look good. On a side note, I think adding beards for the alien species would be really neat. Is it getting too obvious I have a beard irl?
Do you guys have any headcannons on why your characters changed their appearance and/or behaviour?

Originally I played my Immortal Juggernaut Bërra, but when I moved servers I ended up in a Republic guild. I made an instant 60 to see KotFE with since I didn’t want to lose companions on my older characters. My guardian, Cedaric, functions as a main, but I have so many alts now, none really have prominence.

I used to consider my Sniper as my main. But currently no preference. I just play a few characters at a time, then switch to other characters. Or create a new characters because I like all vanilla stories more or less. At the moment I play my Juggernaut DPS for PvP, Sorcerer healer for PvP and Assassin tank for different PvE. I am going to PvP again on my Operative DPS.
