I just don’t get why BioWare uses the Havoc Squad name for this armor set but no Havoc Squad symbol is visible on the armor.

It is also the armor worn by the Havok squad members you meet in Disavowed.
Actually, there is the Havoc Squad symbol in one of the shoulder pads, if you look it carefully. Very discreet, though.
doesn’t really look like republic trooper armor, more imperial.
Just switch the helmet. Problem solved.
