WARNING – A couple of the screenshots contain a heavy spoiler of the Jedi Consular story ending.
Razeela is the kind of Jedi Master you hate. Even I do sometimes. She takes the Jedi Code to an extreme very few do. “There is no emotion; there is peace”. When she was a child, her parents, both jedi knights, died at the hands of a sith lord. She was devastated and sought help in her master, who tried to ease her pain by teaching her jedi meditation techniques to find serenity. This helped her, who soon found a small relief and she threw herself into the jedi training, anxious for her pain to go away. Her eagerness to find peace and calmness made her improve very fast. Unlike other padawans her age, she didn’t pretend to be calm or struggled, instead she embraced her inner peace until her emotions were almost extinct.
The result is that she’s little more than a force sensitive droid. She blindly follows the Jedi Council’s orders without hesitation and nothing can ever disturb her or stand in her way. She won’t feel sorry for someone who suffers, or sad if a partner dies, instead she will remain focused at the task at hand. After all, there is no death, there is only the Force. This means that her emotions will never be a weakness, and in that, she is the perfect Jedi. All this, added to her strong Force sensitivity, means she is extremely powerful and one of the Council’s most useful tools.
But she is a monster. After all, without emotions, without compassion and empathy, it’s easy to forget what one is fighting for. She is considered and respected as a force of good and light, because she is loyal to the Jedi Council and as such she has made many good deeds. But if that Council were to order her to do something morally horrible, or if her loyalties changed, she could commit any kind of crime and sleep tight at night. In the wrong hands, she could be the most terrible weapon – powerful, efficient, deadly and without a conscience.
ABOUT THE OUTFIT: I wanted something that looked simple, humble, comfortable and clean, Jedi-ish. This was the first outfit I really worked on (I mean actively looking for several pieces, not just using what I had at hand), a couple of years ago. If I made it today, I would have probably chosen different gloves and maybe another pants, but I’m rather fond of the outfit by now so I don’t want to change it. The lightsaber is the first one shadows get, and I always liked it very much so I never tried to change it.

Nice outfit, and I really liked her backstory, I don’t think I have encountered background info like this before. I would have gone with different boots though, something that looks more cloth-ish. A question though – if the Council orders your character to do something that can be considered evil, aren’t they going against the principles of being a Jedi i.e. sacrificing your own needs for the needs of the defenseless? Does your character follow the Jedi Council only, or does she take into consideration the wisdom and knowledge of the thousands of Jedi before her that shaped the Order itself?
Thanks a lot! 😀 And that’s a good question. She follows the Council, really. It would be possible to make her change loyalties but difficult since it’s the Council she feels gratitude to. The thing is, she doesn’t really care for the innocent or the defenseless, she just protects them because that’s what she has been taught to do. And most things can be justified if you are good with words. You can tell her “this is necessary to save other people” or things like that and it will be enough. Of course she keeps in mind the teachings of ancient Jedi, she has studied a lot and she welcomes all kind of Jedi knowledge, but ultimately she trusts in the Jedi Council so they would have an easy time if they wanted to manipulate her. Hope I made it clear, my English skills are not perfect, let me know if you still have doubts :3
Thanks for the reply, and don’t worry about your english, it’s pretty good. Anyway, the whole Council has to become corrupt for them to use one of their own in such a way. I mean, even the Clone Wars era Jedi weren’t that cold, and those guys were pretty cold IMO. I have never thought about a Jedi with such mindset. Your comparison with a droid is spot on. Reminds me a lot of the Terminator movies.
Yeah exactly! I guess I made this character more like a critique to the Jedi Order itself than anything else. Anyway, thanks again, I’m really glad you found her interesting ^^
