As much as I like seeing a pretty pair of legs, this bottom isn’t hitting on much. Wonderful color, though; looks really nice with all that blonde hair.
As a designer, the theme here is Summer Exercise. The belt is filler being probably the only article not fitting with the whole, where as the game doesn’t have any representation of proper yoga pants. The exception being Mira’s Leggings which is apart of the original concept but removed due to Valetra’s character personality.
For those who know my Valetra model, this conception takes place before her corruption and return from the afterlife.

I don’t think he was being rude at all. Everyone is free to express their opinions on this site as long as they aren’t being hurtful to others or are using foul-mouthed language. Aleksey was in no way mean to you. He just expressed a very popular opinion about that particular style of undress.
Yeah, I didn’t see anything too mean/nasty about Aleksey’s comment. (In fact, he’s probably one of the more nicer commenters even when he’s making a critique/criticism of someone’s outfit, imo) Plus, it’s just that 2-odd years into the game, people are kind of sick of the bikini bottom look. But ultimately, you gear up your character however you see fit.
I’m sure there are plenty of others out there are happy to oblige you with toons and fashions that meet your criteria. I do apologize I didn’t take your perspective into consideration but I hope you understand that I had no way of knowing nor that my intent was to meet that criteria. I have been requested to post my set on here by players in game and so that was my intention. Apologies friend.
The questioning of why 26 people like this, expresses a concern that because 26 others don’t agree with his perspective he shows his distraught in others views that are not the same as his. No need to pout if others like things you do not, its what makes us all individuals.
As in no way mean, I don’t recall that being of pertinence. I think the connotation of rude is taken out of context, which is OK and understandable giving the methods of communication used. Given the context from which his message was delivered and how it was worded, it was understood as “rude” by myself. And as he has every right to post and opinion i believe i have every right to interpret it how I understood it.
We all have different backgrounds and ways of interpreting communication. As we are well aware now, we can all express ways of communication differently too, this includes but is not limited to opinions.
You are not alone. My first reaction was: “My eyes, my eyes! Make me unsee this!”
That outfit is terrible and I can explain why:
1. 95% of characters wearing bottoms like this one look just stupid, as if they were in a great hurry and forget to put their pants on. Troopers and bounty hunters look even 3 times more stupid.
2. Bottom+belt and jersey have unmatchable styles.
3. Awww… that messy and the same time very artificially looking hair and a face sweet like a condensed milk… I think I’ve just got a diabetes from these pics.

Nah, its good criticism I like to know the opinions of people that are not designers, Its good to get perspectives from different audiences. I would go check out your stuff, but I think you’ve exercised your perspective enough that we don’t see eye-to-eye on the concept of fashion nor the element of Theme for that matter.
Thanks for sharing, though if you want a little professional advice on how to critique, you should answer the question “why” and not just ramble on with benign analogies. When you don’t state why your perspective is that way, you ignore the very purpose of what critiquing is. If you purpose wasn’t to critique then you’re not providing anything of worth to the post. Don’t take that offensively, I’m trying to help you for future reference 🙂
As for your consideration, I regret to say that I must decline your request. Given the tools at hand and the Theme of Summer Exercise this is a pertinent style with consideration of the ideal piece being yoga pants, not available. Having that piece missing, takes away a lot from the style and therefore others must be altered for compensation.

I agree with Metae. There’s nothing unique or special about this outfit. I have seen countless of toons with that bottom. Most of the likes are probably because, to be honest, it’s a hot toon, but when it comes down to originality it gets a zero.
Thanks for you opinion :). The outfit is unique, however, you’re right there are countless toons with this bottom. So the bottoms are not unique where as the outfit itself is. 😀
I dont see skimpy gear as problem, but people here tend to downvote toons dressed like this. Tbh I half expected that at least two of my toons posted here would get the NSFW tag, they didnt but, still, are my two worst rated toons.
The real problem I see with this toon of yours is that it looks like little to no effort was put in its creation. You seem to talk about it as if there was some background history and stuff, but looking at the weapon color mismatch, and disharmony between the pieces on arms we cant help but have that impression.

Yeah, i don’t understand the problem with so called ‘slut’ gear. If someone likes to dress their character in little clothing then that is there choice. I don’t understand the need for people to criticize that.
Also the Twi’leks are known for skimpy outfits as it’s part of their culture and still people have an opinion on that. It’s kind of unnecessary really.
O-Kay, not jumping into this debate, but I’ll just say this: I don’t care what anyone dresses their toon in in this game as long as they like it. Op, if you like this outfit, more power to ya! Not what I’d dress my fem toons in, but to each their own.

1st: I don’t like it.
2nd: Let me explain why. “Très cliché” as french people would say. I see the problem in bikini if I’m honest. There are soo many half nude female character on the fleet. Besides that it looks ugly and having your butt revealed isn’t pretty or cute or high “couture” fashion. Okay? Okay.
3rd: I’m not going to apologize for what I already wrote down and for the stuff I will. I have every right to express my opinion. But you on the other hand are just avoiding a true criticism by saying (in a simplified version) “Well you know I’m designer soo I have every right to put some unmatching and revealing pieces on my toon and say: you’ll never understand, you’re not a designer. I know that my character looks beautiful” Well NO!
4th: I know quite a bit about fashion and eventhough I’m 14 year old kid I deal with art, music and culture. People should not put tags and label themselfs like you (designer). I don’t want to argue, I’m just saying being a designer or not in swtor doesn’t matter. Everybody is a designer in a real life or in a video game.
5th: Your comments sound really like you are frustrated about others opinion and you try to reply to them that they’re wrong.
6th: All together seems like you didn’t try. I have to say you have a beautiful character, but the clothes you put on are just ew. It’s not original it’s cheap. I have an creative idea how you could pull this off in a yoga style: Casual Vandal Pants, Covert Energy Belt and a secondary white on the top and then unified. Since when do ppl going to yoga wear BIKINI???

Such sets are demoralising and unrealistic. They shouldn’t even be in the game as no class would wear them, especially the heavily armoured trooper.

Since you say you are a designer. I will talk to you designer to designer. I am an artist and have a degree in this since this what I do, I can see why everyone is coming down on you, this is a very easy fix. This picture can look less offensive to people if you just go with the covert energy armor which leaves you with the booty shorts. dye the booty shorts blue and i will look good with the tee looking armor she has. Don’t worry about what others say. in the end you design what you feel in your heart you like and you don’t need approval fro anyone. a True artist or designer works from the heart. remember that. You don’t have to take my advise if you don’t want too since it’s your toon but I felt it more constructive if I gave advise from another rtist’s perspective. 😀
